My Mother

My mother is my inspiration. Her countless hours of "spending her heart" have been an example to all who know her. In honor of her milestone birthday, I want to share the songs she taught me through my lifetime, celebrate the woman she is, and pass these songs down to the next generation.

My grandmother, Edna Hamilton was a poet. Along with numerous publications in magazines and newspapers, she published two books of poetry, one entitled Spend Your Heart.

THIS IS ME

My mom required all of her children to take at least one year of piano lessons. For me, that lead to many more years of lessons and instruments: piano, french horn, trumpet and voice. I am grateful to have had music woven into me from such a young age.

It wasn't until my mid-twenties that I was inspired to write my own music. And I felt I had to get it out - it was therapy for me.

Now I want to share my music as a way to connect with others. To help us all connect with our own stories, with those around us, and with our Creator.

Thanks for checking out my first project - celebrating songs my mother taught me, along with a few of my own. They are a part of my story, and I'm honored to share them with you.
